Overview

KDG Surfacing was contracted to carry out essential resurfacing work at a BP Garage in Great Yarmouth. Covering approximately 100m², this project required a durable and high-quality finish capable of withstanding the heavy daily traffic of a busy forecourt.

Scope of Work

• Excavation and Removal: We began by excavating and removing the damaged and worn-out surface, ensuring a stable and solid foundation for the new surfacing.
• Surface Preparation: Proper groundwork is essential for longevity, so we carefully prepared the base to support the new asphalt layer effectively.
• Resurfacing with SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt): We applied a high-performance SMA surface, known for its strength, skid resistance, and durability in high-traffic areas like petrol station forecourts.

Results

The project was completed efficiently, enhancing the safety and longevity of the forecourt surface. The newly laid SMA provides a smooth, robust finish capable of withstanding constant vehicle use.
